It's a reel musician

Last Friday after work I had my regular pub visit to play some tunes down at the Irish Isle. The other fiddle player is a school teacher by day and one of her student's family showed up to have dinner and listen to her play.

I finished a jig and voila! Annie, the youngest, stuck this drawing of me up under my nose. Pretty impressive me thinks. And it looks like me! Predicts a little weight gain this winter, but she definitely got the skin-tone right. I was impressed with the young artist and told her family they should plan to spend tons of cash on her now-necessary artistic education.

Saturday night I went to Christina's cafe and met with a mandolin player to jam. Looks like we're going to try and get together to work some tunes out for his band. That'll be cool to play in a bluegrass band eh!

Then on Sunday I played open mic at Christina's. It may just be me but I think it gets better every time. I get more relaxed and the music just flows. That and they all know me now so I can really act a fool.
